We don't need know Civil War. Sadly for Captain Axel that is exactly what they have got. We don't need know Civil War. Sadly for Captain Axel that is exactly what they have got. The red haired dwarven officer put out word for those who are keen to help and assigned the adventurers to an area that seems a little quieter than others. Almost ominously so, especially as the King's Forces haven't been there yet. You are passed through a roughly made barricade and into the neighbourhood. There are the usual sounds of battle from other areas, but so far little smoke and fire here.
"At least the fires have been put out." Durrankar says as he strolls through the area and snffing about. "It almost seems like the captain put us out of the way on purpose."
Fayde the young and somewhat otherworldly sorcerer is standing with the group contemplative as ever with his staff perched against his shoulder at the ready. His brow is slightly furrowed as he listens to what all is going on. He glances as Durrankar gives his explanation and gives a furtive nod,"So it would seem."
Miruan has quietly grown to really like the dwarven peeps she's been hanging out with. She is serene, seeming to keep up with her meditation, keeping her dried tea with her and such. She is with the others. She seems quietly concerned. "I hope the water ways are working better now," She offers. "And maybe they are worried about an ambush here."
Apparently even the *underground* wetlanders could be just as troublesome as those above.
Alba had largely ignored the summit, and the hushed mutterings about the troubles growing around it; all she knew what that a great many people were going to be in the same room, that most of those people didn't like each other much, but as solutions went it was a fairly elegant one; lock the squabblers in a room, and whoever survived won.
Which was why she was rather put out, when a recent foray to discover new and exciting funguses to mistreat for potions use ended with things exploding above. And when she stuck her head out, she was *more* put out to find out that there was fire and screaming and panic, despite all she'd heard of the Khazad hewing to an ordered society.
So it is, that she finds herself at the barricade, and spots the adventurers milling past it. With a quiet huff, she slips in at the back of their ranks. "Cannot even hunt mushrooms in peace," she grumbles. "What sort of madness occurs, anyway?"
Ezriya arrives with the others, cautiously treading forward into the unknown. Just like the last time, she's still quite anxious, what with the general atmosphere being very...battle prone. The dead air down here also didn't help her eaglefolk sensibilities and overall, this was perhaps the poorest time in recent history to visit the city. She folds her arms over her mid-section as a slight familiar few start to show up, recognizing one or two adventurers...and one towards the back that she hadn't seen in quite some time.
Niara is heere with some of the others. She was getting a bit bored and had to keep moving so it is as good as helping here as just standing around, "Hello" she does say to the others, but is keeping her eyes open.

"You hunt mushrooms? Neat," Miruan seems curious. The monk doesn't seem too bothered by the grumblings. But she does seem quietly concerned.

You paged (Niara, Ezriya, Miruan, Fayde, Alba) with 'The houses you pass appear to have had the doors kicked in from the outside, and a quick glance through a window or doorway show rather through and organised looting.'
Fayde comments as an aside as they move along,"This looks interesting. Lots going on around here, I suggest we get ready since looters seem to be about." He thumbs indicatively to a smashed in door.
Niara shakes her head, "Does look like someone is taking advantage of the evacuations and fighting." she sighs a little.
Huh. Miruan furrows her brows and frowns. "How awful. Poor Khazadfolk," She seems sympathetic. To have to deal with looters... "I'd probably put my money on the Regnent's folks."
Durrankar looks to ALba and smiles. "I'll make sure to find you some mushrooms in the forest, Alba. As a way to apologize for taking your food." Seems he remembers something from way back. "I am not surprised about the looting. Shall we investigate or stay and guard?"
"Jackals," Alba mutters in disgust, head swinging from one side of the lane to the other. "It is my wish that I meet those who would do this. Fun enough I would have, I would care not about the harvest below."
Ezriya exhales when she notes the signs of looting, the eagalrin frowning at the situation at hand. "Pillagers, thieves, fires, explosions and darkness. Mix it all together and you have a cocktail of noxious decay indeed." She turns towards the small group that had seemingly formed around her.
"Considering the situation, I believe it would be best if we did a small search of our own, mayhaps catch the people responsible, no?"
Fayde pulls out a large beetle husk from a pouch in his belt and pops it in his mouth to nom it for the hardening goodness it offers. He crunches it for a moment before wincing a bit as it goes down, the effects happening immediately."I'm game for it."

There's a blink at Fayde. Poor beetle. Miruan doesn't say anything, though. She looks around, too and nods at Ezriya.
GAME: Durrankar refreshes spells.
As the group draws closer to the centre of the neighbourhood the evidence of looting seems fresher, and there are still some fires going in more flammable areas of the buildings. Then there are the first bodies. Hard to tell who killed them but they all seem to be older males. The somewhat eerie silence is broken by a, well not exactly high-pitched, female scream from up ahead and around a corner.
GAME: Ezriya refreshes spells.
Fayde falls into place at the center of the group, flicking his left hand in a snapping motion that apparently results in it becoming wreathed in a silvery flame as his quarterstaff isborought to the ready before hin,
Durrankar hears the scream and starts to run towards where it was....sniffing the whole way. He'd end up being in the middle too. he's not a very good tank.
Miruan is fast. She's swift and punchy. Her movements are smooth, silent and swift. The monk is moving quickly towards the female scream, nearly at full tilt. Happily, Miruan is sensible enough to move towards the front but not away from the group.
Alba's head perks up at the sound of the scream, pigtails writhing and extrinding to swish gently against the floor. "Hehhh.... I hear the sound of jackals on the hunt," she breathes. Drawing one of her adamantine finger-blades against the pad of her thumb, she smears a dark line across the forehead of her mask. As glowing red-black tendrils seep outward to cover the top of the bone plate in vein-like markings, she pushes off the ground, gliding after Durrankar towards the sound of trouble.
Ezriya is primarily made of two things. Feathers and squish. Hence, she takes up a permanent spot in the back. The feminine scream catches her attention instantly, the egalrin's eyes glowing a soft soft orange as she moves in formation.
Niara cocks her head to the side at the scream and doesn't hesitate. She pulls her scimitar, buckler already strapped on and moves that way.
Around the corner is what may have been a marketplace, now it is something of a ruin. Roughly in the middle there are three disreputable figures. Unshaven, greasy haired and splattered in blood a small human is flanked by two hulking half-orcs. Despite their dirty appearance their armor and weaponry are in very good condition. There doesn't seem to be much loot, but there are some dead dwarven bodies, and about four tied up. The human lets go of the dwarven woman and looks up to the group of adventurers "What the fuck are you doing here, we were given this area. Piss off and find your own" he says in a rough voice.
"Well, you can stop right now," Miruan replies easily. It's the boldest she's really been in - well, ages. "And furthermore, on who's authority is this place 'yours'? It belongs to the Khazad. Stop now." It's a challenge and an order.
Fayde casts protection from evil as he replies to the sketchy looking human,"You gotta cuss so much for? We're just here to pass along the message that your area is being reclaimed." He upnods them,"We're serving an eviction notice." His form is shrouded for an instance in a golden flame as he traces the ward in the air with his casting hand.
The human's statement is answered with a long, breathy cackle from the Veyshanti hanging in the air just a bare foot from the ground. Her hair lashes against the ground, still growing, as she does a lazy backflip. "Think I, we have found ours," Alba breathes, adamantine blades sparking as she scrapes them against each other with idle motions of her fingers. "Are they cowards, then? Or shall they find better sport in prey that may bite back?"
Niara shakes her head, "Given this area, by whom, and what you are doing.." she sighs, "Surrender and we will turn you over to the authorities, resist, and well we will save them the cost of imprisonment and a trial." her eyes fall over the dead bodies and the dwarven woman and then back to the three. "You make me sick."
GAME: Fayde casts Protection From Evil. Caster Level: 5 DC: 15
Durrankar lets out a growl at the pair of half-orc. "I've seen better manners from carrion feeders." She then blows out a bit of smoke. "Wait....I take that back, I wouldn't want to insult the carrion feeders by comparing you to them."
The two massive half orcs draw equally oversized axes from across their back as the lead human withdraws behind them. Once behind the wall of fighters he draws a bow and knocks an arrow "So we have got some heroes have we? At least it looks like you have some nice loot on you. And I am sure we can get some nice coin for the woman" he adds with a nasty cackle of harsh laughter.

Ezriya doesn't need more than a cursory glance at the unsavory individuals in front of her before she makes up her mind. An orange fire erupts from her fists as her brow furrows towards them, the literal heat of her anger eminating from the egalrin. "I have no tolerance for thieves, and even less than murderers. Your ashes won't be worth the fire wasted on them, you pathetic mongrels."

"I see," Alba sees, slipping a hand into her pouch to draw a dried mushroom... that... really looks like it needs to be thrown away. How does fungus get moldy, after all? Pirouetting in the air, the Veyshanti's arm loops out, hurling the diseased-looking mushroom toward the bowman, striking him on the chest and showering him with a cloud of glowing yellow-green spores... that fade into nothingness, leaning the bowman apparently unaffected. "...Hm," the witch says, peering at the archer.

Ezriya notes that there are multiple enemies in the area and after seeing a few true battles, her overall constitution...isn't much. She brings her hands together in a focusing pose and concentrates on herself, forming a soft orange aura around herself. It almost seems like it's setting herself on fire but the fire is far more gentle...and much more shield like. She opens her eyes again once the spell is cast and now the egalrin sorcerer is ready to rock.
...Hopefully anyway.

Oh geez. That's a big axe. It's not every day a man axes Miruan out, but her heart is spoken for. Also she quite likes her heart inside of her, thankyouverymuch. Miruan manages to avoid being axed what's really inside of her, her body bending easily. She looks worried, though she tries not to giggle at the most fab half-orc.
"HRAI!" Time for a kiai and a hail of blows. The barbarian manages to avoid two of them, but the third punch is a solid smack to the ribs.

The half-orc has had better days. Getting his arse kicked by two smaller girls is not something to boast about. Still he is on his feet. Barely. Bruised, battered and bleeding he spins around and brings his axe across and up, battering aside Niara's parry and sinking into her side "Like that one bitch?" he growls out in barely comprehensible Tradespeak.

Despite the archer's best efforts, Durrankar, even with an arrow sticking out of his tail, manages to bring down a lighting bolt on the archer. The only way the archer knows it's coming is that Durrankar looks at him....and snaps his fingers. the snap becomes a *CRACK-BOOM* and hits the archer hard.

GAME: Alba rolls 1d6: (6): 6
Flying after the thunderstrike, Alba brings herself to a halt a short distance away from the sizzling archer. Her breathy laughter grows short, strengled, as an unnatural lump bulges in her throat. A few moments later, a coin-sized spider *plop*s to the ground from beneath her mask... then another, and another, until eight-legged horrors stream from beneath her mouth like a chitinous, fuzzy waterfall that piles up until it reaches knee-height... which point the cluster surged forward, sweeping up and over the archer in a biting, skreeling wave of nightmares, as the Witch resumes laughing at full volume.

Fayde grips his casting hand again, this time turning to look at the archer that shot at him before launching another glitterbomb his way,"Jealous? You can be FABULOUS too!" He grins widely as it explodes around him in sparkly goodness. He then sniffs and grins wider before looking back to the conflict before him and deciding what to do next.

Ezriya has...seen some stuff. I mean, she's stabbed people, burned them, and seen others do very similar things. This marks the first time she's seen someone vomit up spiders. Much less onto a person. I mean, the guys were murderers and everything but there are some...general rules of combat that one generally doesn't ignore. One of those being 'Oh yeah, how about not vomiting spiders on my face, okaythankyou'.
In either case, maybe out of some degree of pity, the Egalrin forms two football sized, translucent crystals in both of her outstretched hands, flinging one after another to fly straight towards the poor man's head and chest.
A very...very nervous glance is given towards Alba as Ezriya takes...a small step to the side...away from the woman.

Miruan easily moves away from the arrow. "Tch. You will be selling no women this day," She states simply. You paged Miruan with 'You have deflect arrow or anything?'
"Tchah," Alba spits, as her curse seems to slide off the archer, and turns away in disgust. The fristrated half-orc, however, catches her eye, and she drifts to one side, keeping a healthy distance from its greataxe. She brings up both hands to cover her mask, as a hair-tentacle reaches out, tapping the brute's cheek. A pair of heartbeats later, she lunges forward, throwing her hands out toward the murdering bastard with a loud shriek. A half-formed suggestion of something squirms beneath her hands, but what its shape is, only the half-orc knows for sure.
You paged Miruan with 'I don't think you need to roll for that?'
The human boss takes another step back away from the annoying monk. And another arrow is launched towards her. This time it looks to be a perfect shot, right between the eyes. But at the last moment Miruan's hand flashes up and defelects it away harmlessly.

From the set of the floating Witch's shoulders, it's clear she's not having quite so much fun as she thought she would. Perhaps it's the failed mushroom hunt that threw her off her game... Muttering a spidery, crawling set of words, she turns her back to the half-orc... displaying the coating of frost crawling up the tips of her lashing pigtails. Parte II
With the last of this crop of slavers dead one of the previously captive dwarven women steps forward. She is the oldest of the lot, and has that 'real khazad don't cry' expression on her wrinkled face. Her eyes are sorrowful however as they glance over the bodies of the adult menfolk that were killed. She pauses and looks around the gathered adventurers, taking a few moments before she can get out a somewhat brisk "Thank you aye" in a thick accent. She swallows then looks off into the distance "I hate to think what they had in mind, but you should know that three wagons left before you got here. Two had the children and younger women in them...." she says, choking up a little for a moment "...I thank ye all again for what ye have done, but if you could please go after them..." she says, as close to begging as this proud Khazad matriarch will get
Miruan is relieved. She is in awe of the old lady. She resembles a mountain. The monk looks around. "We are glad to help. Do you know which way they went?" She asks. While Miruan is cautious about following into an ambush, it must be serious if the Khazad are worried.
Durrankar looks to the Khazad woman and tilts his head. Sniffing the ground, he begins to follow them by scent.
In the air, an already upset and upsetting Witch stiffens, hair lashing around like a nest of furious black vipers. "We will return them," Alba says, lowering herself to look the matriarch in the eye... and yet still not touch the ground. "We will return them, and we shall ensure that all who would follow their actions, sees what bitter fruit it bears."
Ezriya spends this time doing some inventory on the scant few supplies she had on her body. A few vials, a few...escape tricks and her trusty knife were the only things she had and they seemed quite paltry for the herculean task of quelling a riot. It's been alot of fighting so far and unless something stablizes, it's likely to be alot more. She takes out a cloth and wipes off the blood from her dagger, returning towards the others just in time to overhear that they might be moving soon.
"If there are more degenerates to be found, we should move sooner rather than later, no?"
The elderly Khazad woman nods her thanks to the party and then gathering her fellow ex-captives starts to take care of the dead. The trail is easy to follow, the Mercenaries not making any effort to cover their track. Especialy against scent.
Miruan is checking her bag, too. She smiles weakly to the elder. As one who values wisdom and experience, she is in awe of the matriarch. Still, she will follow the trail as the others do.
Moving first, Durrankar follows his nose, but not to fruit loops..... He isn't a tracker like a ranger is, or an inquisitor, but with scent? he can find a lot of things....
Behind the druid, the masked witch drifts along the ground, toes scraping against stone flooring and lighter bits of wreckage, apparently working herself up into a fine lather over the subject of carriages full of children being hauled away. Enough, it seems, that a small, yellow-banded red snake has slithered out from beneath her hair to start an argument with her. "Quiet, slithering bug, or we shall see if you would taste more pleasant now! ... Care not how much you will bite my face, I will find the one who leads these creatures, I will pickle its eyes in its own tears, curse him to eat only dung!"
Ezriya resheathes the knife back up in her sleeve comfortably before turning and looking at the others apparently pick up the trail of the kids and their unfortunate friends. She moves to follow them, keeping up her 'last in line' status quo.
It takes a while but as the party progresses sounds of battle start to drift through from up ahead in the tunnel network. Moving closer still it seems that the Mercenaries have discovered one truism. Khazad make dangerous captives and worse slaves. The battle is chaotic but there seems to be three forces in action. The rough looking mercenaries, what looks like a small patrol of Khazad guards, and pissed off captives who are using a mix of captured weapons or whatever they can get their hands on. At a quick glance it seems somewhat evenly poised, but the mercenaries may be gaining an edge, especially against the captives.
Niara was near the front, righteous fury on her face. Her sword hasn't left her hand and as she sees the scene her eyes go to where the captives are fighting and starts to move in that direction.
"That's them. Go on." Durrankar says moving himself out of the melee fighter's way. "Move! Cover the captives while they escape! I'll try and lock them to their position. ALBA!?"
Ah hah. Battle dead ahead. She furrows her brows. It's likely easiest to tell who the badniks are by seeing who the captives are about to go after. Or at least defend themselves against. Miruan strides forward, preparing herself to kung fu a bad guy good.
"I see them," Alba snarls, the snake ducking down into her hip-bag as the witch's hands rise, clawlike. "Oh, they shall be sorry for their thinking this day..."
Ezriya isn't sure what to make of that battle. The obvious sides were the mercenaries and the captives sure, but what were the guards doing there exactly? Were they crooked? Were they helping the captives? In either event, the egalrin readies herself by inhaling once...and then exhaling, her eyes glowing orange as her magic manifests itself.
"Try to isolate the mercenaries off on their own, if we can do that, we can roast them all at once."

Ezriya would normally cast and throw her magic missiles as she had been, at specific targets, from her position, physically throwing them. But with a large scale battle and tons of clashing and danger, it might be easier to try an alternative raining method. With a symbolic clap of her hands the egalrin concentrates, staring directly at the wounded half-orc. As soon as enough magic was gathered, she throws her hands up and summons a slightly larger, icicle like magic crystal above the target. She brings her hand down dramatically like a music conductor, smashing the crystal directly on the poor guy's head.

Ezriya 's attention is caught by one jackass with a bow. Because there is always a jackass with a bow. Like. Every. Time. She swings her weight to the side to dodge the first shot, grazing through the feathers and ripping a small line through her skin. That wasn't too bad. She returns fire by bringing her hand up again, creating a much larger crystal than she had before and bashing it into Archer Asshole(tm)'s head, shattering it.
For her efforts, she gets another arrow, this one planted dead in her chest.
Again.
She growls with pain before pulling the arrow out and tossing it to the side, the pain from that one was going to linger for a bit. Rather than speaking anything, her rage floods across her facial features and she performs a gesture. She takes two fingers, splits them apart to point at her eyes before pointing back at AA and running a finger across her neck.
The mercanry with the crossbow clears away the debris of his last attempt and then starts the slow process of reloading the large device, cranking it back and trying to ignore the folks dying up ahead.

"You have stolen children," she says, eye slits glowing crimson as she slo-o-owly drifts lower. "You look like a children. Perhaps you should be punished like a children," she says, voice breathy with gleeful malice. Black and green ropes of magic drift down her hair and settle over his throat. "SAY YOU ARE SORRY FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE WRONG!"

Round Three - Init 21.
It is now Durrankar's turn! Wiz1 is next!
The tide is definitely turning, the Mercenaries are being cut down under the axes, hammers and improvised weapons of the Khazad, as the surfacers do their part as well. The leader of the guards almost reaches the prisoners, but as they step over someone presumed dead the 'corpse' lunges up with a nasty looking dagger than sinks deep under the dwarves armor. She collapses as the other people in the unit deal mercilessly with the stabber and haul their commander up to join forces at last.
GAME: Durrankar rolls 1d8+1: (1)+1: 2
GAME: You damaged Ezriya for -2 points. 9 remaining.
Durrankar finishes his spell, but he's been paying attention to everything going on around him. Seeing the bolt hit Ezriya, he trundles over and touches Exriya's wound with the wand. Doesn't do much, but it's better than it was.
GAME: Durrankar used a Wand of cure light wounds.

All five of the elves act in unison, going through casting motions as they chant in unison. Two arrows of force form by each one's side then streak out and slam into Miruan. Luckily only two are genuine.

It is now Sniper's turn! Miruan is next!
Ezriya starts concentrating again and as she throws her hand up into the air, a soothing feeling caresses her side. The arrow graze from earlier disappears! She turns towards Durrankar and nods appreciatively, before throwing her hand down and dunking another large crystal on the archer's head.
GAME: Rakim rolls 1d20+5: (10)+5: 15
Just who the halfling sniper is aiming at is a little uncertain, for she loses just as she is hit by the magic missiles. So her arrow goes up somewhere towards the ceiling above. The crossbowman has reloaded and, well at least this time the bolt doesn't explode in the bow, instead bouncing off of Durrankar's armor.

Miruan yelps in pain. Magic damage HURTS! "Oh, that is IT!" She is irked and in pain. The monk lunges forward, a single roundhouse kick aimed at the elven caster's head and neck. She is fine with Elves. She likes dwarves. Halflings seem fun, and the list goes on, really. For now, though. Mir's been zapped and she do not like. Kung fu happens, and the caster falls.

Round Four - Init 21.
It is now Durrankar's turn! Niara is next!
Her curse delivered, made permanent, and utterly inevitable, Alba drifts away, focusing on the second bowman. Her eyes narrow behind her mask, bladed hand rising to point at the archer. Spitting out a spidery, throat-twisting word, she launches a beam of rippling black energies, leaching the strength from his muscles, seemingly replacing them with lead.
The leader of the guards seems in bad shape, but they force themselves to their feet regardless of the blood flowing from beneath their armor and starts laying the hammer about. The rest of the patrol quickly distribute their spare weapons to the captives who join in gleefully in smiting the remaining mercenaries. Well as gleeful as sober Khazad get. Some even almost crack a smile. Which is more than can be said for the mercenaries. Some of the smarter, or faster thinking ones, start to gather what loot they can carry before retreating down the corridors.

Durrankar nods to Ezriya, but his attention goes to the crossbowman. The crossbowman is so focused on his shot that he sees Durrankar snap his fingers at him......and the snap turns into a CRACK-BOOM, where the lightning lances the crossbowman in the back. Ouch.

The halfling may be small, but is tough and viscous. And evidently strong will as well. She can feel the witch's magic clawing at her mind but she manages to focus and take aim. The arrow flies out but barely grazes Alba. For his part the rather worse for wear crossbowman starts to reload once again, cursing the whole crossbow thing under his breath.

It is now Durrankar's turn! Niara is next!
Turning a lazy backflip in the air, the Witch orients herself on the sniper, eyeslits locking onto his eyes. Crouching, she charges forward, unarmed arm reaching out for the foolish, cowardly brute. Her hand snakes around his neck, fingerclaws stabbing deep into the sniper's stomach. "Are you sorry now?" she cackles into his ear.

The main body of mercenaries, or rather what is left of them, continue to melt away. Either at the hands of the Khazad or by grabbing what they can and running. The leader of the guards tosses their hammer at a retreating one and manages to cave the back of his head in. Then sadly both collapse as one as her compatriots form a wall ahead of her and continue fighting.

"He's sorry!" Alba crows as lightning shears through the sniper, drifting to the cranky, cranky halfling. "He's sorry, he's sorry! COME TO ME CHILD, AND TELL ME YOU ARE SORRY TOO!" Her hair streaks out in search of wrists and ankles to bind, but the boss and sole survivor slips free.

The last of the mercenaries are either bleeding their last, ran away or about to do either of those. The dwarves show no mercy to slavers, especialy with their commander down in trecherous circumstances.
GAME: Durrankar rolls 3d6: (10): 10
Ezriya is satisfied that the last of the stupid archers are down. Which just leaves the boss. She's tossing another massive translucent crystal on his head now, but she looks down at the spreading burst of red on her chest. How...annoying. That would need to be looked at before too long.

Durrankar arcs a lightning bolt around ALba, who's still crowing over the crossbowman going down, and zaps the boss halfling. Durrankar hrfs then walks his way over to the halfing....where he whacks the halfling on the head multiple times with his staf. "OW! OW! OW DAMMIT! DAMMIT DURANKAR! OW! I'm NOT A OW!...CLUE BAT!" Durrankar only thmps his taill twice.
"She never said," Alba says, an audible pout in her voice. With a sigh, she drifts back toward the dwarven commander, a resin-stoppered hollow bone slipped out of her hip pouch. "Does she yet live?" she asks the guards standing over her. "Make her drink this. Keep she will, until she can be brought to a healer."
The commander manages to get her helm off and look around. She looks a curious mix of being hards as dwarven steel and grandmotherly. And bears more than a passing resemblance to Arnora "Dinnae worry, I will be in the arms of Reos this eve" she says weakly, coughing up blood as she struggles for words "Any of ye know my granddaught, Arnora Stonesmasher. I must get words to her" she says then starts muttering in Khazad. A younger dwarf leans close to catch the last of her words as the aged dwarf slowly slips away.
Ezriya drops that last fabulous attack on the boss, and before too long, he is slain. Visibly exhausted, she turns off her magic, turning her pupils back to normal as she doubles over, panting from both the effort and the injury. She moves off to the side and looks down at the fabric of her top being stained with a decent amount of her blood. She rolls her eyes again in annoyance.
"Who has time for laundry at a time like this? These stains, they are not easy to get out...also the color does not go with this outfit at all. Damnit."
She slides herself down to the floor and huffs, reaching into her small pouches for something that might help.
"If I ever find out the party responsible for this mess, I am going to burn him into a unrecognizable crisp, not even fit to be sold at the cheapest of fairs."
"A name which bears familiarity," Alba mutters, "a face which bears more. Tell me your words, guardswoman, and I shall see them borne to her." Reaching up, she pushes her mask up onto her face to reveal her sullen, intense features. "Two sets of ears and minds here, to ensure it is so."
Miruan is listening. She is injured, her robe blooming in red. "We will listen." Surely there's no potion or? She nods. She is standing near, listening and saddened.
The younger guardsman looks a little confused, stern facade cracking as she looks back down to her deceased commander "She retired a decade ago. But when she heard..." clearing her throat she pauses to gather herself. Her brows draw together as she tries to translate dying persons Khazad to tradespeak "They have the axe. Get to the lake where I first told you about it by the next moon?" she ventures sounding rather uncertain.
Durrankar walks over towards Ezriya and touches the wand to her wound. "Here you go." he says making sure the wound closes this time, before he makes his way to Miruan for the same.
A yellow-bnded red viper slithers out of Alba's bag and up to her shoulder. Witch and snake trade a significant glance, and Alba nods, stooping to remove a waterskin, and rest it on the old guard's chest. "May you never thirst again, Elder Guardswoman. Your message shall be delivered."
Durrankar looks to the Dwarven woman and puts his tail on the ground. "May the Death Singing Dragon's song guide you." Is all Durrankar says.
Miruan places her palms together. She bows low to the elder dwarf. "May the silver lady's light shine upon you and your descendants." The monk does seem quietly fond of Arnora, even if she doesn't understand half the dwarven expressions. Though, her wounds make her wince a little. "... they have the axe. Get to the lake where they were first told about it by the next moon," The monk recounts quietly.
"She also said to thank you all, although insisted she would have had it anyway" the younger officer says with a faint hint of what may be a sad smile. The rescued captives and guards alike start to take care of the wounded as some of the elder woman carefully lay out the older commander.
"'Where *I* first told *you,*' Alba corrects, rising in place. "That is perhaps true," she says to the young officer, "but who would take children, deserve *all* that comes for them. Come... Let us see this finished, and then there will be a message to deliver."
Ezriya looks up when she feels something soothing coursing towards her chest and realizes that wand was coming in handy again. She pushes herself off the ground and feels her chest...yay! No arrow hole. She smiles towards Durrankar before reaching up and patting him on the back and leaning on him slightly.
"Do you have a wand that gets blood out of clothes?"
Durrankar chuckles. "I don't think so, unless you plan on getting wet." he says using the wand on himself. Getting hit by lightning stinks.
