Introduction to Tenebrae
Welcome to the Emblem of Ea. If you're new, our Theme Guide aims to get you on your feet quickly by providing an overall view of the setting. We are a roleplay-based Pathfinder-based MUSH. Knowing the rules is helpful, but shouldn't require anything beyond the basics.
Alexandria is our core setting where much of the day-to-day RP takes place. It's located in Alexandros and is best thought of as similar to Venice or Athens: a powerful City-State, a cultural melting-pot situated geographically between a number of diverse nations (who are often at odds with one another). Alexandria recently disappeared into the Mists through the actions of the goddess, Taara. You can read about this in Recent History.
Races talks about our world's inhabitants, from massive giants to the winged egalrin. Racial tensions exist, but not to the extent they should inhibit play. You can also learn about their beliefs, and check out the player-made lexicon. Tenebrae is a high-fantasy setting, the effects of faith are palpable, and the magic of the high arcane a wonder to behold.
We encourage you to play what you're interested in, with the following caveats: we do not allow evil PCs. It's something we've tried in the past--it just hasn't worked. Secondly, our policies also encourage a variety of roleplay, from grid to scene--don't expect to spend all your time in adventures. We are neither an online Tabletop Game, nor an MMO, and the experience is intended to be quite different. If this is what you're expecting, then this MUSH is not for you.

Once you're established, you're welcome to record yourself on the Wall of Heroes by making a Character Page. You'll need a forum ID and password to login, so be sure to request one of those at the end of Chargen.
