Built back into the mountain, this room is cool and dry. Arcane globes provide soft illumination, and fire sources are strongly discouraged. The center of the room holds a pair of long tables, and a cabinet holding a crude card catalog. Many bookshelves are carved directly out of the walls, while stout wooden structures hold even more. Academic texts are of course in large number, but the shelves also hold a range of novels, poems, play scripts, and other works of entertainment. However the majority of the works held here are journals, diaries, letters, maps, and travel logs, organizied by location. Alexandros is the majority, but a vast number of exotic locations are represented. With minimal seraching, one can find a firsthand account of life most anywhere in the world.

Cesran is towards the back of the Library and he has a stack of books before him. He's got one open and he's reading it as he occasionally flips the pages. He has another book open right next to him ad he's taking notes every so often.

Krom wanders into the library hestantly, peering around with open curiousity. Despite the indoor warmth, a swirl of snow circles the northman, sometimes in chaos, sometimes taking the form of a tiny humanoid, a small voice shiming softly as it flits around. "Shhh, little wisp! This is place for quiet!"

Cesran looks up from his reading as he hears a voice and he hmms as he sees the swirling snow around Krom. His eyes glow bright blue for a moment as he eyes his talents to analyze what it is that Krom has and Krom himself. "Greetings." He says quietly as his eyes go back to normal.

Krom is not very magical, but the tiny fey is little else. The northman nods politely, his voice used to shouting across the tundra, but trying very hard to hold in for the small space. "Krom greets reading man. Appoligize if little wisp disturb. Is very excited to learn new things. And very much is new." The being in question circles a mage light, not unlike a large moth.

Cesran looks at the book he has open for a moment to memorize where he is before he closes it. "No I have only read about creatures such as this. It is interesting to see one up close. Please as far as I know this library is open for any to use."

Krom nods. "Krom has seen none of the fey here in southlands. Are not common in Mestnorr, but present. Little wisp serve King of Winter, bring message to Krom. Little wisp not told return, so stays, sees much, excited much, remembers nothing."

Cesran hmms, "Well there definitely are fey around, although you'd really have to look for them. They don't like the city and prefer the wilds outside of the city. Mestnorr huh? That's quite far from Alexandria what brings you here?"

The little wisp flits from book to book upon the shelves, occasionally circelign back to Krom a moment before returning to it's exploration. Hey! Look! Hey! "Krom come to learn new ideas. New ways to live. New ways to fight. Great Valley holds much, but is old, grow stale if fresh things not come. Krom learn, maybe other ways better. Maybe just different."

Cesran smiles, "Well there is no better place then here, Alexandria is a crossroads for people of all over. You can learn much here, both in the ways of new ideas and ways to live and fight."

Krom nods. "Is struggle. Krom not sure what learn first." He peers at the books being looked over earlier. "Krom wonder what you were reading?"

Cesran looks down, "Oh I'm reading the journal of one of the first documented demon hunters. It seems this city has had problems as of late with demons so I am researching them in how to better combat them."

Krom frowns, nodding seriously. "Krom have heard tales, but knows little. Never met a demon, or not realize if have. Troubeling addition to bad situation. Demons here, war in Rune, Heth run rampant. But, trouble make for change, change good for learning. Maybe people learn be less selfish, think for greater good of all. Maybe not, but Krom optimist."

Cesran nods, "The same I have read reports and heard first hand accounts of what has been happening, but I have yet to face off against a demon in the city. The working theory is that it has to do with Asumit who looks to be behind a lot of what's going on. Asumit is a demon summoner and is trying to become a god. He has his hands in many plots to get what he is after."

Krom nods again. "Krom has heard the name. Korm think is bad idea, being a god. God must hear prayers, listen to followers, busy busy busy. Krom rather take nap some time."

Cesran hmms, "It depends on what you want to do as a God, but right now the Gods are in balance which is the best for the world. You are right though the Gods do tend to be quiet busy."

Krom frowns. "God is not what wants. God is what is needed. Or should be."

Cesran nods, "True enough, some would argue that we have too many gods." He shrugs a little bit

Krom considers, and shrugs. "Each god has role. If every role filled, then is enough. But not all gods fill role as should. Thus evil."

Cesran hmms, "Or are they? One could argue that even the evil gods have a role to play."

Krom considers. "...some, perhaps secondary role. Primary role still unfulfilled, or corrupted."

Cesran nods, "Perhaps, although I wonder what the primary roles would be if they were not corrupted."

Krom nods. "Much has changed. Much forgotten since first days. Krom wonder if even gods truely remember."

Cesran hmms, "I'm sure at least Navos remembers, he is said to be the oldest of the gods."

Krom mmmms. "But Navos has changed. Taken new role when Mage Lord Animus fell. How much did new role change Navos?"

Cesran leans back, "You are correct there, it is said that he lost his compassion to become more objective and one wonders how many other gods might have fallen that we don't know about."

Krom nods. "Are things old even by standards of gods. Maybe gods not eldest of things, despite tales."
