Zaheir to the throne
Yelrona is engaged in animated discussion with three small oruch men in common garb. Well, they are small for Oruch, which still means they outmass Rona by factors of two or three. They don't seem hostile, but they are definitely upset, and she is trying to calm them.

...with noticeable success.
Morgan spots this from a distance but stays a bit away as she waits to see if there will be trouble.
The discussion continues. There's a great deal of pointing and gesticulating and what looks like swearing on the part of the oruch, and a lot of nodding and placating gestures and calm reassurance from Rona. After about ten minutes of this, the oruch -- apparently somewhat mollified -- storm off.
Morgan walks up after the men left "things ok?" asked with a concered face. "I dont like to bother with peoples private lives, but I did not want to see a fight."
Yelrona looks up and waves to Morgan, seeming briefly puzzled. Then she gets it. "Oh! No, no, nothing like that. They weren't threatening me, they're just concerned. Their brother disappeared last night," she explains.
Morgan nods "from here, anything you want help with?"
Yelrona nods. "Certainly. You remember what I was telling you and Elian the other day, about the Syndicate trading in slaves?"
Morgan nods "Well I have a new spell that would let me spy on a area if I seen it before." in her strange way she is offering new help
"That sounds like it will definitely come in handy. How does it work?"
Morgan says as she gets a crystal ball the size of her fist " I stair at this for 10 minutes saying a few words in contium. Then I can see and hear all in that spot." she stands in one area and makes a motion of what she can see. "but I can move it around as long as I stay at that fixed point."
Yelrona nods slowly. "That may well come in handy on another matter. Though I will have to get back to you on that, as there are secrets involved which are not mine to share." She pauses, then adds "I take it you would not be averse to acting against Charn?"
Morgan nods "Come to me when you need arcane help. If the spell does not cost me anything then I freely cast it on you."
Yelrona smiles. "I appreciate that, Morgan. Thank you." She makes a small note in a pad she pulls from, and returns to, her pocket. "And what of you? What are you up to, besides learning new spells?"
Morgan nods "I came down here to give a mesage to the wearhouse master of number four. nothing that big but a coper is a coper."
"Ah, I see." Rona smiles again. "When you see him, tell Marlin that the peanuts are ready."
Morgan shakes her head "Already seen him, but I can go back."
"No, no need," Rona waves the idea away. "I'll see him soon enough." She pauses, then continues "Can I ask you a possibly too-personal question?"
Morgan nods and says "sure I have nothing really to hide... so far."
"Well, it's not really about hiding, but... you seem to spend a lot of time performing minor tasks for coppers, when your magical talents could no doubt command a much higher price for your time." Rona bites her lip briefly before asking "Why?"
Morgan sighs "Because that market here is flooded, and there are many magic users at my level. So there is no large call for me. But I know if I keep at it I will make enough to own my own place and have people coming to me for enchments and knowledge."
Yelrona considers that explanation for a while before accepting it, albeit with some reluctance. "Well," she says brightly, "the belt you enchanted for me is working quite well!"
Morgan smiles and says "And the money helped put two spells in my book.... I love when adventures find scrolls."
Yelrona nods. "I'm glad."
Morgan smiles and says "And the money helped put two spells in my book.... I love when adventures find scrolls."
Yelrona nods. "I'm glad. Do you not have other wizards scribe them for you, then?"
Morgan nods "The ones I need and have not found yet, but to be honest I find it more enjoyable when I find the spells."
"I can appreciate that," Rona responds with a private smile. "Serendipity can often be a guiding force, the Luckbringers teach."
Morgan takes that in "well hopefully I will be lucky enough to go on a good adventure to find mostly scrolls I do not have yet."
Yelrona makes a blessing gesture. "May luck be with you."
Morgan sighs "sadly luck is only a small part of it I have to go out and try like my first mentor said."
Yelrona smiles. "Yes, that helps, also. Do you do a lot of adventuring?"
Morgan nods "Probly my fair share, but you know that already as you been on some with me."
"So I have," Rona replies agreeably. "Speaking of which, have you learned anything more about that golem-creating wizard?"
Morgan says as her eyes roll back a little as that is her poker tell of recalling things "He is 1190 some years, I dont know what his school he mostly studied, but I would say Transmuter.:
Yelrona blinks. "You say 'is' -- is he still alive?"
Morgan shrugs "I dont think so, but if he is a Lich we will be screwed."
NinjaBolide has arrived.
Yelrona nods. "Well, that's true. Is there any reason to expect it?"
NinjaBolide has left.
Morgan shakes her head "not expecting just a posiblity, I am hoping that I am wrong. But I have a good feeling that the tower is tied to all this."
Yelrona nods. "That seems likely. What do you know of the tower?"
Morgan gives a sigh of she wishes she could study it more "He knew how toenchant things. The tower is self repairing and has the ablity to emit cold, and some how it can also controll time."
Yelrona blinks. "Control time?" She was aware of the cold bit, from their adventure there, but this is new to her.
Morgan nods "When edger steped in the center he did not just teleport some where he traveled in time some where. I experenced this once before my self. I am auctly two weeks older then I am sopose to be."
Yelrona blinks again. It doesn't really help anything, but she does it a third time just to be sure. "You travelled two weeks back in time?"
Morgan nods "That was the second time I seen that tower."
Yelrona seems astonished. "So what did you do, with two weeks to relive?"
Morgan chuckles "I lived in a cave as I did not want to encounter my past self or mess things up."
"I..." Rona isn't sure what to say. "That must have taken enormous discipline. I don't think I could have done it."
Morgan nods "was not that bad but it does make you go a little strange not talking to other people."
"No doubt. But... so, when we accepted the job to find Edgar, you already knew what would happen, then?"
Morgan shakes her head "not untill I seen the tower, and then it put more in the picture when I seen Edgar in zombie form."
Yelrona is clearly having trouble wrapping her brain around that.
Morgan looks down "I know a little bit about the way he was made in to a zombie. There is a slime that can aborbe magic, it makes them bigger."
"And... this has something to do with what was done to Edgar?"
Morgan shakes her head "just how he was made in to one, why him and why the child was put in to this I have no idea."
Yelrona nods, trying to follow. "So... what does the slime have to do with how he was made a zombie?"
Morgan says "they put the slimes in the body and the slimes make them a walking bomb."
"That... is disgusting."
Morgan nods "what I dont understand is why a farmer and his son. How are they tied to this seeing they were a five days away."
Yelrona nods. "It makes little sense. Do we know anything about the family?"
Morgan shakes her head "nothing. It might be a bloodline thing since they are not using homeless."
Yelrona nods, and makes another note. "Worth looking into."
Morgan thinks "would you like to do that, people tend to say I am off putting when I look in to peoples past."
Yelrona nods. "I will. Thank you, this has been very helpful."
Morgan smiles and says "I wish I knew more about this, and I want to stop it. I hate to see magic being abused."
"I'm that way about people, I suppose," Rona replies after a moment.
Morgan nods "Thats why I am willing to help you with the slavers, to strip the freedome of some one for any reason angers me."
"And the help is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Morgan." Rona regards her notes and adds "If you don't mind... I think I will go to the Arcanists and see what more I can determine about this."
Morgan nods "They do not have much on the tower since it was a long time ago, but if you were able to controll it you would have millions of magic users willing to pay a lot."
"No doubt," Rona replies drily. "And likely we would reenact the Fall of Kulthos not long after.
Morgan nods "oh good times that would be... good times."
