Tasty Fruit Filling
One of the services the Llyranesi Embassy provides for the Llyranesi in the city is communications with other Llyranesi communities in Llyranost, the Mythwood, and elsewhere in Alexandros, where the facilities exist. Among those is Yelrona's home settlement of Yves Namfadin, where her mother is the head Seer at the Temple of Eluna, and over the last few days Rona has been actively involved in communications with her... whether she wants to be or not. Mostly the latter, it would seem, judging from her constant exasperation as she leaves the embassy.
Today is no exception, as she storms out of the building fuming and muttering to herself about "...pigheaded Seers..." and "...elders who think they know _everything_..." and the like. And, as she has been doing quite a lot of late, she is taking a long walk around the Plaza, apparently to cool off a bit.
That a particular building not far from the Charnith Embassy always stays within her line of sight as she does so is hopefully not obvious to observers.
She stops at a foodcart to get a hot fruit pie and chats with the vendor.
Morgan is outside the Eluna temple cleaning the ground there of any rubish. She looks up to the fumming Rona and she walks over and says "how did you aproach the Sear?"
Yelrona seems unsure how to answer the question. "Less politely than I probably should have," she finally says, "given that there were others present. But, well... family," she adds, as though it explained everything.
Morgan says "With her its best to aproach her with a empty and relaxed mind. She is a very empathic and reacts to things different."
Yelrona nods, with the air of someone who suddenly understands something which had previously been puzzling.
"Oh, no... I wasn't --" she starts to explain, then seems to think better of it. "That's good advice," she says instead. "Thank you."
Morgan smiles and says "I would come back in a day. And try not to be agresive... thats all I can add."
Yelrona nods again. "Are you active in the Temple here?"
Morgan nods "As much as a follower should, I help out here with the little stuff like the cleaning."
Yelrona smiles. "That's good." She pays for the fruit pastry and takes a bite of it, savoring the steaming filling as she looks out over the Plaza and to the buildings on the other side.
"When I first came to the city," she muses after a while, "I often used to perform to attract passersby to Tarien's services. I haven't done that in a while."
Morgan nods "I doubt I could do something like that, I never was able to sway people to do much."
"You're a mage, though," Rona says, sounding surprised. "I'm sure you could attract quite a lot of attention, just by demonstrating your magic. Or... is it more the performance aspect that is a problem for you?"
Morgan nods "my parents were never flashy people, and even the Suil and gnomish people that lived near me were to hard working to be flashy. Then I gotten older I found it was better to watch other be flashy... might answer my fondness for bards."
Yelrona laughs. "Well, bards... are an entirely different category," she allows.
She finishes the pastry, and licks a few crumbs off her fingers.
"I guess I've always been... as you say, 'flashy.' I got it from my father, I suppose, he was always like that when I was growing up. My mother was more reserved." She thinks about it. "It's a learnable skill, you know. I mean, if you'd like to."
Morgan nods "Well in retrospective I am more of a entertained then a entertainer."
"Which is also perfectly legitimate. You seem to get more satisfaction out of more concrete forms of service, in any case."
Morgan nods "I like to keep my hands busy, I think it was my farming upbringing."
