The Adventurer's Guild is in some ways the heart of the city to some. Without Adventurer's fighting for everyone then the city might well have fallen countless times over. Most of the time the Guild can be a little busy with adventurer's coming to check what postings there might be, requests for adventurer's to come solve problems. Other times just socializing or meeting their fellows. There is also those times when people come to sign up to the guild, to make their Adventuring status official to the city of Alexandria.

This is one of those times.

At least for the huge form of Kolden, the giantborn just getting up to the counter to register for the guild, put in his qualifications so to speak, and what his focus is.

"I am a Cleric of Lord Daeus." Kolden tells the clerik, "Giantborn." Obviously, but that bit isn't said outloud. "Proficient in battle, healing, and minor blessings from Lord Daeus, for the time being."

This seems to be as good a place as any to get situationed in town, since she isn't planning on leaving again any time soon. Stepping into the room, she looks over the space, taking in the unfamiliar faces of those around me until they eventually rest on Kolden, the corner of her lips lifting in a bemused smile.

Stepping up, closer to the man, she waits until he's made his introductions before she speaks, from behind and next to him, "Seems you plan on sticking around as well, Kolden?" Since it isn't her time to register, yet, she stays in her spot, arms crossing over her chest.

Kolden looks over and habitually down towards the voice, a smile growing on his face and reaching every corner of it. "Lady Alys." He says in his booming voice, turning to face the elven woman he bows deeply and formally. "A pleasure to see you again." He straightens up, "Indeed, I believe this is going to be my place for a time. With all the troubles that abound mayhap I can be of some service." He looks towards the clerk to make sure he's finished registering and then steps aside so that Alys can get set up next.

"By your presence here I take it that you have decided to remain as well?" Kolden asks, "Please, don't let me hinder you." He gestures towards the clerk, "Unless you've already registered of course."

Alys laughs softly, followed by a shake of her head, "Simply, Alys, please, no need for the lady bit, I assure you; plus there is no need for such formality between us. After all, we shared a meal, and that is more than I can say for most people that I've met." Her head tilts slightly while looking up at him, that smile growing, "It's good to know that you will be staying, and helping. If for no other reason than to offer your healing skills. I'm afraid my skills are much more." Her lips purse in thought, "Falling in line with those that will require healing."

She looks over to the clerk, "I did, yes, this morning, though I thought I might come back, see if they needed any help, or if anything came up since then."

"Then I'll hope to be present so that I can tend to any wounds you might be unfortunate enough to acquire." Kolden rumbles with a bit of a frown, "Though it would please me more if you never required such and never took a wound during your adventures. While I can soothe pain, when required, it is not something I enjoy. Knowing that until I can, if I can, someone is in pain from trying to help or protect others."

Kolden pauses and quirks an eyebrow as he takes a step back, looking over Alys keenly. Perhaps appraisingly. "If I had to guess, a light fighter with a penchance for stealth? Most fighter type adventurer's typically favor heavier weapons than daggers." He smiles, "Fortunately, I may be a cleric but I also favor the front lines." He steps back towards her, "Just today I commissioned a fine suit of plate and a shield for myself. Hopefully it will help and I won't be in a skirt anymore. I don't hate the Khazad, but I find dwarven style to be..." He looks down at his armored kilt, "A bit breezy perhaps."

GAME: Kolden refreshes spells.

Alys laughs softly again, "That is fair, and don't worry, I don't wish any pain on myself or any injury, though it's good to be prepared, if nothing else. Or know those that can help if the unfortunate should happen." She gently nudges him with her shoulder, "I'll do my best to stay safe, though, so you don't need to worry yourself with such things; after all, I'm sure you have enough things that require your attention before adding me to the pile.

That laugh turns into a chuckle, "Is it that obvious?" She looks down at her armor and the daggers that she has hilted at her waist. "I'm Fast, which helped with my choice of weapon and style." She looks down his body again, pausing at his skirt, "Yes." Biting her lip to keep from laughing more, "I imagine it must be quite breezy, though I'm sure makes for easy movement."

"It actually restricts my movement more than the breastplate itself would, but will be about as hindering as my new armor when it is finished. The added weight you see." Kolden explains, "No matter how strong I may be it still adds quite a bit of weight, and bangs into my knees and thighs when I try to run." He chuckles with amusement. "There is nothing wrong with playing to your strengths La-," He cuts himself off, "Alys."

With a wry smile Kolden asks, "Do you have any other plans for the day, or did you find something on the board that interests you?" He looks over at the board himself briefly but his attention is drawn back to Alys after that moment. "Otherwise, if you have nothing on your schedule of import, I was tempted to explore the city a bit. I would be well pleased to have your company for it."

Looking over him again, she considers his words. "I never would have thought that it would be restricting, though as I've never worn such a thing, I will take your word on the subject. Hopefully your new armor is ready soon, then, so you are more comfortable in what you are wearing, especially if you are trying to run." An eyebrow lifts when he almost calls her Lady Alys again, her smile spreading when he catches himself

"I was actually also planning on exploring the town, and maybe seeing if I could find a place that I can put down, even some temporary roots; preferably a place with a bed. As much as I might enjoy sleeping under the stars, the warmth of covers is something that I miss. If you are also exploring, I would welcome the company."

"I am pleased to have it, your company." Kolden says with a smile and another bow to the woman, "As for putting down roots." He considers, "I was hoping simply to find a decent inn. Not to expensive, but with a big enough bed for me and the possibility of a hot bath. I have heard of a tavern that has a bathhouse in it but privacy can be nice from time to time."

With his smile growing to a grin, Kolden rumbles, "I would offer you my arm Alys, but I fear it would tire out your shoulder to constantly be reaching up." He is almost twice her height and over four times as massive. "Still, I offer you my protection while you are in my company. Not that I think you need it." He admits, "It is more a social formality."

Alys says, “Well then, if that's the case, let's see if we can find a tavern, with two rooms, one of each of us, since now, a hot bath sounds." She shivers slightly, "More than a little tempting, that and a hot meal." Moving to stand next to him, she looks at their definate size difference, though lifts one shoulder and moves her hand up to rest on his wrist, it's better than nothing, "I'm sure they must have something here to accomidate even someone of your size." Her fingers wrap gently around his wrist. "However you are right, your protection wont' be necessary. Simply your company and I shall count myself lucky."”

"I am certain they do." Kolden agrees, "The challenge will be finding it." He chuckles, "Unless we ask directions but that does defeat the purpose of exploring after a fashion. Are the rewards worth the risk?" He asks her curiously, a brief glimmer of amusement in his eyes. "At the very least, I /do/ know where we can find a hot bath if such is the higher priority. It is a very nice tavern but I do not know if they have rooms. I never asked."

Leaning her weight against him, her fingers still staying wrapped around his wrist she nods, "Well then, let's go start our exploration adventure and hope that we fight what it is we seek; though a hot bath without a bed to climb in after almost seems to defeat the purpose, does it not?" She considers, "Well, regardless, let's been off and see what we can find."

Kolden smiles and reaches one large hand to place it gently over hers on his wrist, "Of course my lady. At the very least I know a much calmer place to eat rather than the Ox, where we met." He chuckles and starts for the door to begin their exploration of the city.
