The TarRaCe, Noon.

Lunch rush! Spring means far more activity for the establishment, fights and brawls from the Colosseum needing fuel to keep them going! To go orders and sit ins, brews flowing. It's almost a full house, and the iron bar has just a few seats remaining.

The bartender is that of a human woman with a wreath of red hair, crimson vest buttoned closed and black slacks pristine. She is all over the place, chatting with one group while filling another's order. Even a sprectral hand is assisting in cleaning with her diction. /And/ several strands of her hair wisp around her and float, animated as they take dishes coming from the kitchen and hold them aloft to place in front of patrons.

Irshya is supporting the barkeep by fetching food orders, and dealing with the few bits of official business that happen along the way. She dashes out of the kitchen holding a tray above her head, sliding said tray into the middle of a table, and delivering the proper plates to each customer. Her face is lavender from the exertion, and she pants a little, but appears to not be slowing down. For now.

The Gobbo offers a bright smile and wave to the barkeep as she runs by. "You holdin' up okay, hon?"

Aelwyn for his part, was dancing between the tables. Clad in a white skirt and black loincloth/waiter's apron with notepad sticking out, he had done away with his more typical red look towards more prim and proper.

If his shirt wasn't unbuttoned, sleeves pulled, and that sith-makar still had a knack for red ribbons flaring by his erect horns. "Mashed potatoes? No bit of wine that?" He asks with a rumbling grin, before he bows his head and moves to scoop up tables from the next empty table. Holding them aloft, he neatly navigates the full tables, finding it barely a bother.

"Sharkie should dive in the cool water," The Dragoon points out, before he turns towards not-Slix, gesturing at his chest. "What would Ribbon think of a leather cloak? Ruin the scales?" He asks, as he hands off the tables and moves to pick up more mugs and a jar of water.

It's been awhile since Ous has been in the TarRaCe. coming not from the direction of the street, but from the Bathhouse, the Ranger looks...clean. Dressed in a pair of Buckskin pants and a dark green linen shirt turked in at the waist, the V-neck collar left loose and unlaced revealing the hints of vivid purple scars on his chest where the fabric doesn't cover. His Thick, wide leather belt it there, axes tucked in at various angles, but he carries his Elkhide and Wolf pelt shirt folded up under his arm and his bow and quiver slung over one shoulder.

Beard combed and trimmed, the ranger no longer looks like a crazy hermit, instead he looks like a well-bathed crazy person with a combed and slightly neater beard. The thick mane of hair, brushed out now hangs to well below his shoulders in slightly wavy strands. Someone has managed to attempt something like a styling on it as the sides are braided back towards the back of his head in an attempt to keep it out of his eyes. It wasn't a total failure of a job.

Looking around the dining room, Ous makes his way towards an empty table, sets his unworn gear in a spare seat, then drops into a chair himself with a slightly wince and a grunt.

There was a brown haired elf in a lavender blouse in one of the seats at a table, a few books open on said table, and a large glass of water near where they were sitting. They stopped to sip on it for a moment, watching the comings and goings. They look to the menu for a moment and shove it underneath one of the books. Maybe if the servers thought they were served already, they wouldn't be so overwhelmed?

The bartender's face, too, is flushed from exertion as she takes a breather to lean against the bar, letting the spectral white hand and animated threads of hair handle mundane tasks. "Yeah yeah," she pants lightly. "Probably gonna take my break afta' thi' rush."

Bartender-Slixvah peers over at Aelwyn, her looking him down and up before shrugging. "I think it'd look good. Certainly would hold up betta wit' fire. Just depends on the color. Oh, 'ey, ya gettin' water? Gimmie a glass, hon," she requests of Aelwyn.

She peers out to the Aesir man, and she waves at Aelwyn and points to Ous. "Yo, Dragoon man, ya gotta one top ova there, just sat down." And her gaze continues out.... oh! "Scha-Scha!" she calls out over the din of the place. "Come sit at the bar so I can tease ya!"

The Goblin disappears into the kitchen, and after a few moments, she returns, her tray now filled with glasses of water, each one looking frosted and cold. A few of these glasses end up at different tables, with Irshya stopping at Ous' table, sliding him a frosty glass of water. "Hey handsome, did you see a scruffy looking guy in there while you were bathing, about your height, dressed similarly? Caught him here the other week tryin' to wash his clothes in one o'the baths." She laughs then, and winks. "Aelwyn's got you covered."

The Gobbo returns to the bar, and offers Slix a frosty glass of water. "Take yer break now, yes? I can cover the bar."

Aelwyn pours water into one of the glasses with completely unnecessary flourish and slides it over to not-Slix. "Thinking red? What kind of cut?" He reaches down into his loincloth-apron to pull out his completely blacked out notepad, before glancing over the barkeep. "A table requested more of those killer drinks. Whatever Ribbon put into them." He says, waving the scribbled over paper as if that made any sense to anyone but him.

Tray with the water alike is hoisted up and he walks across the floor, putting refills wherever needed. As he passes over Schara, he neatly leans down to shift the menu out. "Try the barkeep's special." He points with a brief flash of teeth as he moves along.

"Stranger," He bows his head in greeting. The fresh water is put down. "And how can this one be of service? This can tell TarRaCe is already taking very good care of him." Pen flicks between his fingers.

Grinning at Irshya, Ous shrugs. "Aye saw 'im. think he may 'ave drowned in there." Taking the water, the ranger nods in thanks. "Thanks. an Aye promise Aye didnae try tae wash me clothes this time." Watching as the goblin wanders off once more, Ous leans back in his seat and tilts his head to the side, a staccato series of pops emitting from his spine in the process. Looking visibly relieved, he begins massaging his left hand with the thumb of his right. more pops and clicks emitting from his hand wrist and elbow.

The menu is glanced at for a moment before Aelwyn appears. Looking from the dragoon to the manu again, Ous considers for a moment then points to something on the Manu. "Th' bath'ouse was good. Needed th' wash. Aye'll try that one."

"Oh, hello Slixvah. Alright, though I don't know why I would like to be teased" The artificer answers, giving them a wave from where they were seated. Then she was interrupted by Aelwyn, and the elf shakes her head. "Oh, no please, I am alright. It is much too busy to make any further orders." They reply, shoving their books into a bag and awkwardly clamping their glass with two outstretched hands to wander over to the bar, trying their best not to accidently drop it on the way. "I hope no one drowned here, that sounds awful if that's the case."

The bartender sighs in relief as Irshya takes her place, taking the glass of cold water and chugging it. She coughs heavily with before wiping her lips off. "Bah, lips are weird, thankieees," she comments before giving the proprietor a quick hug and sliding herself over the bar to rest on one of the few empty barstools. With one emptied, she takes the other one from Aelwyn gladly. "Maybe somethin' with an inverted V-cut. Kinda like coattails, let ya tail go through it." She looks at him before giggling. "Yeah yeah, can make another one, gonna take a bit fo' them," she says as fingers move to make the spectral hand fix said drinks.

The bartender slips off the bar stool briefly to help Schara with moving things from the table to bar. "Eh, if you place an order, we'll get to it. And we'll give ya the friend special," she giggles, sitting back down to relax from the madness. "Ain't no one drownin', hon, jus' a joke," she reassures.

The Gobbo grins at Aelwyn, "Good on the upsell, nice and gentle." She nods approval at the ruddy-scale Sith, before hugging at Slixvah. "You think that's weird, try breathing through your nose. I mean, who does that?" Laughing, Irshya gets into the rythym of serving individual drinks and filling trays."

Glancing at Ous, she shrugs. "I'll fish him out later. Got a friend named Jaws who is always looking for fresh chum." She nods to Schara then, "Yeah, he's always got something funny to say. He's a good sort."

Aelwyn peers over the menu at what Ous was pointing at. "... a lightly braised cut of giant frog, served atop cut potatoes and aspargus with a dash of vinegraitte, and seasonally spiced slime on the side?" He asks, notepad flipping open as he jots it down. "And for the drinks?" He sways his tail behind him.

Orange eyes turn to look towards the bar nearby, "This one is professional, Sharkie." He flicks his tongue out as he flexes up his arm. Briefly watching Schara makes his way, he calls out to her, "V-cut on the leather cloak, Brass? Red, this one trusts?" His attention turns back towards Ous, eventually.

Nodding to Irshya, Ous grins once more. "Might be a good idea. Don't ewant him to get too comfortable in there." Looking back to Aelwyn for a moment, Ous looks back at the menu and makes a face. "I dinnae think I can eat tha' actually. Sorry tae be a pain about it. Can Aye order tha' without the vinegar-ettes? Aye canne stand vinegar-ettes." Looking around the dining room again, he adds. "Beer will be fine." Considering something for a moment, he adds. "An' maybe a beer chaser while ye're at it?"

"Oh, thank you, Slixvah." Schara nods gratefully as the glass is taken to where she can sit at the bar. "You are talking about clothes? Do you need some new ones, Aelwyn?" They ask while getting situated. "Well, I don't want to cause any trouble, but I am a bit hungry, and you're not the owner are you Slixvah? Are you allowed to give a friend special, and what does that even mean?"

They stop to sip on their water for a moment to collect their thoughts. "That's a strange thing to joke about." They state. "But I'm glad you trust me, Aelwyn, that's nice to hear."

Not-Slixvah tuts at Irshya. "Says the gilled lady, trying having a rigid beak then you have- thissbh," she playfully sputters.

Turning to Schara, she bobs her head. "Yeah, Ael's thinkin' of gettin' a new cloak. Leather, red, inverted-V. I think it's a good idea."

Looking back to Aelwyn, she snickers at the order before shaking her head and looking back to Schara. "Hmm, am I allowed to give a friend special? Uhhh-"

The proprietor's persistence gets the bartender to laugh. "Aight, aight. Yeah, I am. Free meal, it seems, get what ev's ya want."

To Ous, she opines, "It sounds like a weird dish, but it's gooood! But not ev'one's 'bout the vinegar. Totally getcha."

"Tch, this one will have to brave the cook." Aelwyn responds to Ous, as he makes a big cross over his notes. It may have been he was just doing those for the show. "Wish to step by the bar while it's cooking, Ranger?" The draconian asks as he casually leans against the table. "Our Bartenders will chase after his whatever they desire." Tail sway behind him.

A moment later he straightens and starts to start picking up more empty glasses, making his way over the bar himself. "Can't be too overbearing. This one has a reputation to uphold." He tells both Schara and Slixvah, before he puts the tray down. "Leave the drinks there, Ribbon." Another moment later, he disappears into the kitchen.

Shrugging and gathering his things, Ous heads for the bar. setting his gear next to him as he drops onto a stool, the ranger looks across the bar at what is on offer, pausing as he sees a particular bottle "Ye lot 'ave Red Dragon brand Rum? Like th' actual Red Dragon rum? wi' th stills actually heated by Wyrmlings?"

Schara looks at the conversation, and the elf frowns, but admits defeat with the gobber's insistence. "Well, that is very kind of her to offer. I'll have the stew, that was good last time, and I would not wish to waste a gift like that on a meal I'm unsure I would enjoy."

"Well, a cloak sounds like a good idea, even if it is warmer now. Something that would cover them up well? I know Aelwyn doesn't wear much, but I don't know if that's on purpose or not."

Mention of the rum gets a curious glance and tilt of the elf's head. "I've never heard of that before. How would they get the dragons for that, and willing to do it?"

Not-Slixvah tuts at Aelwyn. "The only bartender chasing after you is to smack you for being cheeky, /that's/ your reputation." She waves the empty glasses off next to her. "I'm on break, ain't doin' nothin'."

Turning to Ous, the bartender on break laughs. "Ye ye, we gots that. Ain't much of it tho'! Prolly just a few bottles, Irshya ova there," she gestures to the shark-gobbo, "runs the place, so lotta weird bottles stashed in weird places. She can get ya one. Name's Slixvah, by the by, just hollar for me when I get off my break if ya need anythin'."

"It's totally on purpose," Slix chuckles to Schara as they get settled in. "But yeah, we can get ya the stew." Once she gets that order settled with Irshya, she turns back to the elf. "I dunno! Maybe they's got a deal long time ago! You want a drink ta go wit' it? On the hoooouse~!"

Aelwyn returns from the kitchen, wiping his hands onto a towel. "Tch, on a break?" His tail whips against the edge of the bar. "How will this one ever behave without such helping hands?" The draconian rumbles. He turns towards Schara. "Don't let her get too excited. Part of the bar is still recovering."

Looking over towards Ous, the ruddy sith-makar asks then, "How does Ranger know of such drink? Not very common out there."

Looking around as people talk to him, Ous shrugs at Schara's question. "Dinnae how they does it. But it's good stuff." Attention turning to Slix, he adds. "Aye'm Ous." The accent he was using didn't really speak of one particular dialect over another, but more a backwoods mashing of multiple dialects bastardized into one Oussian accent. attention back to Aelwyn, he adds. "Aye'm no' real common out here either. Aye grew up in camps. Lot of people from lots of places an' they all liked tae drink. Ye pick some things up." Pointing at a bottle of bright blue alcohol in double layered glass bottle he adds. "Tha' Medusa's tears must be better'n 40 years old tae get tha' colorin' Aye'm impressed." Another bottle is pointed out. It wasn't anything fancy, just a glass bottle with a label of a dancing gnome. "Ye got Kettledrum's finest too Aye see. Is it last week vintage?"

"Let who get too excited? Slixvah?" The elf asks curiously. "And alright, the stew is on the way, but after that's done, I can help you out if you need some help? It looks pretty busy here, and everyone is exhausted. I'm alright without a drink, it's on the house, but I don't need one." They offer. "I wasn't sure if it was on purpose or not, it seems like most sith-makari don't wear a lot of clothes. Still, a cloak sounds like a good idea, I guess?"

"Like that, there are people here who know their drinks a lot better than me, so they'd probably appreciate them more than I would. Before I forget to introduce myself, my name is Schara, and it's nice to meet you." She adds in greeting to the man.

Slixvah rolls her eyes playfully at Aelwyn. "Please, you never behave even /with/ helpin' hands."

She can't help but let out a low whistle at Ous's knowledge. "Shoot, ya know ya stuff. I work 'ere and I didn't kno' half tha', yeah? Rish-Rish knows the good stuff. Ya wanna get a drink of any of tha'?" she asks of Ous.

She glances to Schara, grinning. "Ye, me, prolly. But don't worry 'bout we, got it. Once I finish this breather I can get right back ta it. Appreciate that offer tho', hon."

"Tch," Aelwyn rumbles at Slixvah, "Maybe this one just needed a touch more?" He tilts his head towards Schara then, standing up on stretching. "Why hide and suffocate? This one is not being paid enough to hide-" There's a sudden moment of a pause, but he is quick to recover. "Very little reason to stifle oneself." He throws out with a sharp teeth.

"If the bar survives Ranger, this one will check up with his order." Sliding the tray under his arm, he returns to the kitchen to continue ferrying the dishes; the busy TarRaCe knew no mercy.

Nodding Schara, Ous grins even wider. "Glad tae know ye." Looking back to slix, the ranger points at the Kettledrum then holds up a hand sideways with pinky and index finger extended. "Aye'll take 2 fingers o tha' mixed wi' apple juice please." Settling back onto the stool once more, the big Aesir continues to look over the bar, letting out low whistles of appreciation from time to time.
