Types of Actions in Pathfinder | ||
Action | Per Round | Examples |
Free | 1-2 | Brief actions: yell a few words, drop a weapon; total number depends on DM and horse sense |
Move | 1 | Has two subtypes: 5' step or normal move |
Standard | 1 | A single attack, use of an ability, casting most spells |
Swift | 1 | Initiate smite, start rage--an action not quite fast enough to be 'free' but quick nonetheless |
Full Attack | 1 | When using FA, you may only take 1 swift action, 1 move (5' step), and as many free actions as the DM allows; you may not take a standard action or a move (normal move) |
