Elvensong or Lionel Ritchie
It's Korday, Aestry 28 15:54:03 1018. The full moon isn't up. The tide is high and rising. The sky is grey and cloudy, and nothing casts a shadow. It's hot, humid, and still.
A04: Theatre District
Ga'Elian is sitting in the lawn in front of the Bardic College's entrance, singing an old Sildanyari ballad.

Elf Lionel Richie is over there rocking out in the shade of a griffin, apparently - good on him, he sounds amazing. Kind of what you'd expect from somebody in the company of a griffin, one supposes. Fazahd, on the other hand, is on foot as he enters the area, no steam-driven gazebos for him today! No help for the poor, either, apparently. Well, nothing obvious. Who knows?
Ga'Elian continues to sing as a few of the bardic students gather around, but maintain a cautious distance from the griffon.
Aya also enters the district, and is also on foot. She continues to share more in common with Fazahd in that she lacks gazebo, food or alms for the poor artists, a griffin, and singing. The one with the voice and griffon does gain her notice, first, though.
Fazahd is just this guy, don't mind him. He stops not far from the Bardic College, and squints at the edifice while shading his eyes with one hand. Inspects it, really. Possibly looking for weak points in some terrible siege to come. The war of the bards, where everyone is too poor to actually pay for munitions and just strum furiously at each other.
Ga'Elian stops his performance, and rises to his feet. The gathered students applaud, but the Sylv simply gives the griffon an affectionate back-scratch then waves to Aya.
Aya dips her head to Ga'Elian to acknowledge his wave. Now that the singing is done, she comments to him, "From envious skyknights to envious performers... you must be quite the multi-talented one..."
Ga'Elian looks at Aya inquisitively. "Young though I am, 116 years is long enough to develop some talents. And it was Erithamiel and I that envied those Skyguards I think, more than them us. I am curious--I know you have left your people behind Aya, but I know so little about the Mul'niessa, apart from them following the Lady of Darkness as a general rule. Tell me, do they sing as do the Sildanyar of the Woodlands?"
Aya considers Ga'elian, and his question a moment before responding. "Yes, the Mul'niessa have songs, and sing them. They are like others in that way, but the songs are our own. Many follow [[Taara|the Shadow Sorceress], and many songs are of Her, but not all."
Ga'Elian nods, "In my tribe, community singing is almost a nightly event, most often from sunset into the late hours of the night. Here though, I have noticed the songs are much as their singers—short and for the most part silly, often mixed with copious libations." He smirks. "Our music goes on for much longer, usually, and is liberally seasoned with the calls of wild beasts."
