Findrago Garibaldi

Appearance

Findrago Garibaldi is a young Tsuran male, and he looks every bit the part. His skin is tanned and weather-worn, evidence of many days on the open road, and his twinkling grey eyes and wide grin hint at mischief. A mop of relatively unkempt black air sits atop his head, yet a moustache and a thin black beard that frames his jawline are far more meticulously groomed. He stands just shy of six feet in height, and his build is lean, like one who has made a practice of running from the authorities.

His normal attire consists of a pair of black leggings and boots and a white shirt, topped with a black leather vest. Red sleeves are attached to this vest, lending a bit of color to an otherwise monochrome outfit, and no small number of gold chains around his neck and rings on his fingers finish the ensemble. The hilt of a dagger sticks out of the top of his left boot, and a finely made rapier dangles from his belt.

Character History

Findrago Garibaldi hails from the Gaibaldi gypsy family, a Tsuran tribe of nomads who make their way from one town to another, performing odd jobs or entertaining the locals for a period of time ranging from weeks to months, then move on once they outstay their welcome. As the youngest of three Garibaldi children, Findrago's job was simple - be cute, be charming, and do what he could to help the family get what they needed. He spent years honing his art, learning to tell bald-faced lies to authority figures or spinning fantastic yarns about that time Uncle Pietro - gods rest his soul - was nearly eaten by a dragon /and/ an owlbear on the same day.

When he was older, Findrago's pride was wounded by a series of unfortunate events in which his older siblings undermined his tales with their shortsightedness and got the lot thrown in jail. Once they were released, Findrago decided he would work best as a solo act, no longer needing to rely on his other family members to ply his trade (or, in his eyes, mess it up). He set off on his own, continuing to use his con act to gain favors and lodging from townsfolk while staying one step ahead of the local authorities.

As the saying goes, Findrago is a lover, not a fighter. He's primarily a social character, and actually has proven himself to be a liability in a fight on more than one occasion. He really shines, though, when he's at the center of attention and trying to win people over... either through stories, diplomacy, or convincing them that the sky is actually a lovely shade of paisley.
