Lich Colosseum Battle

The colessuem is packed today. Nobody is going to turn down a chance to see a public fight between a lich and Lady Sandiel with her allies. The whispers among the crowd as a single imposing figure makes his way into the fighting ring. He stops in the middle and clears his through, magically loud and heard throughout the arena. "Welcome Ladies, Gentlemen, and Gentries to this fight here on Daeshen 14, Korday. We are privlaged, and honestly a bit surprised, to bring you this fight between Lady Sandiel with allies." Some snickering goes through the crowd, "And the one who calls her self Mandy, the Chaos Lich. First I shall introduce to you the home team, Lady Sandiel!" waving to one end of the arena.

One Aggravated and Pudgy Elf Is Here.

She is glaring across the arena.

ALso, Sandy looks /really/ aggravated. "/Mandy/," she snorts dismissively. "Bloody elvbes."

The gray sith-makar is back. His form looks more solid, somehow as he stands there, cane in hand. He lifts the edge of it, and pokes Sandy. ...angel wings settle over her shoulders. This should never, ever happen.

With the advance warning Durrankar was given, he had a bit of a nasty surprise waiting for the colusseum. When the announcer began the introductions, Durrankar had JUST finished a very long preparation spell that made the cloud over Alexandria VERY dark looking.....and even a little bit.....green. He doesn't bother even saying words.....he just lowers his staff to rest on the ground.

"Stormgarde!" Kravar flings his arms out wide, weapons stowed. He takes a few steps forward and then turns in a complete circle, arms still outstretched. "I hope you are all ready for a show!" He flashes a smile at a few nobles and well-known figures in the crowd. "Stooorrrmgarrrrde!"

"...unssettling," the grayscale mutters to the angry, chubby sil. He weaves his fingers again, and a second set of protections appears, over himself and then a third over the other sith-makar present. His tophat sits askew for the moment. "And sso much. Yelling. ..."

Cesran has come to help out a fellow adventurer in need. He comes in on a flying carpet that zooms all around the Colluseum as he stands there stoic with his staff in one hand, ioun stones flying around his head. Decked out from head to toe in magical gear. The flying carpet moves down towards the others and he gives a polite nod, "Greetings. Shall we take care of this imposter and prove there is only one true and future Sandy?"

Ga'Elian follows the others into the arena, looking rather unusually wolfish tonight and surrounded by magical winds.

"...quite." Svarshan, there as a drab, gray reptilian rubs at his jaw. He eyes the crowd then, and then the area where the lich will doubtless enter. "We ssshould perhapps sspread out. It would be ssensse for her to open with a volley."

As the sky darkens another dark figure appears out of nowhere above the group. It comes down hard landing with a thud near the middle of the arena sending the poor announcer flying with a very loud yelp. As the dust settles you all see a very large skeletal champion made out of dragon bones. It spreads its wings and lets out a roar to the scared people in the arena. Opening its claws an adamantium golem and a mithril golem walk out. Standing atop the dragon is a naked beautiful Mul'niessa woman. She hopes off the bone dragon and floats to the ground waving to the crods, "hello my dears! So glad to see you all! This is going to be a delightful day isn't it!" Then she waves over to Sandy, "You came! I was worried you might not. You should come over here and give Grandma a hug!"

Selerik sits in the stands, eating small puffed pastries as he watches. He seems entertained, taking a few notes on a nearby floating scroll every so often. Because material.

Cesran nods to Svarshan, "Shall I go up on my carpet then?" He asks before there is a loud landing and he turns his attention towards the skeletal champion and the pair of golem that walk out. "Well I call dibs on the skeleton. Good luck with the golems."

Svarshan looks towards Sandy and then back again. He drops a javelin against his palm. "You put caltropss in the tea. Sso ssorry we could not attend," he says in protest. The jovial air from the last encounter is gone, leaving...well, not quite gone, but it's more thoughtful. His appearance is more solid as well, were one to look past illusions. He really does look like a gray, potbelly reptile. He tips his hat to her.

"I am not hugging you, 'grandma'," says Sandy. One can hear the quotes around the name, just about, the way she says it. She scowls at her, though, eyeing her and her arrival.

Her arms fold across her chest.

She does /not/ look happy. Even less happy now.

Ga'Elian draws his bow, aims at the adamantine golem, and calls out in a clear, carrying voice, "Holy Mahal, I name yonder construct as my quarry, and invoke thy blessing on my hunt!" <OOC> Using 'quarry' class ability vs adamantine golem

Kravar's smile turns sickly and he lowers his arms at the sight of the dragon. He shoots Sandy a "what have you gotten us into" look. But a moment later his confident expression is back. He reaches down to his belt where for years he used to wear his dragon-hating axe...but his hand meets only empty air.

Aya saw no need to make her presence conspicuous. Certainly not before the arrival of the 'Guest of Honor,' in different words. Even after, she continues to lurk for a moment. The more threatening heroes present, the more targets there are for the Lich and her ...pets? allies? Aya isn't sure which category they fall under; not that it much matters.

"It is because I am naked? I knew I should of worn a dress or something, but I didn't want to lose or ruin any of my stuff." Mandy offers with a pout. Then a quick trace of her fingers a shield starts to float around her. "Well shall we get this started?"

The dragon lets out another war as it hunches down and the golems snap to attention looking towards the party and start to move in.

Cesran spends a moment looking at their enemies before he looks over towards the others in his group, "All right form up let's form a battle plan. Here is what I know. Most of my spells for the most part will not affect those golems. I have a few, but I'm better to take down the lich and the skeletal champion. That golem over there." He points to the adamantine golem, "Is pretty much damned near indestructible. Do we have a druid here that has the spell transmute metal to wood? If not then just hit it extra hard because I can only do one wish spell today and we'll need that to destroy it once you've gotten it down." He takes a breath, "The other golem is going to be extremely quick. If you have a slow spell use it, but the affect is going to be temporary. Oh how I wish Jareth was here. Other then that just hit it hard." He looks over his shoulder as the golems start. "She's a lich. I'll try to deal with her and the skeletal dragon is just a skeletal dragon, lots of hit points. The golems are dangerous. They will hit hard and quick and any magic spell for the most part won't affect them." He turns to get ready.

Ga'Elian responds to Cesran, "I'm focusing on the starmetal golem. It may be paltry, but I have starmetal arrows."

The mithril golem is indeed very fast. It staggers for a moment, and then with lightning quick speed is across the arena and slames its metallic fist right into Kravar.

Kravar has faced golems before, but not one like this. He's barely getting his shield onto his arm before a mithral fist nearly slams him off of his

Kravar has faced golems before, but not one like this. He's barely getting his shield onto his arm before a mithral fist nearly slams him off of his feet. He does his best to let the impact flow through him. Durrankar's spell settles onto him and the Aesir launches himself into the air, moving so fast he's nearly a blur. His shield darts

Fast as a blur, Ga'Elian fires off a volley of arrows at the adamantine golem. As one strikes and another really hits home, three others fly away, one becoming broken. The elf retreats a step.

"Old friend. You are going to charge, aren't you," Svarshan says in lower tones. He stares at Sandy a while, and then looking resigned, snaps his fingers. The gray scales fade to platinum and shimmer faintly in the sunlight. The top hat changes to an angel's flowing robe, and a dragon's wings erupt from his back. It really IS overdone. It really IS theatric. Stupidly theatric.

For a moment he doesn't say anything, shoulders slumped...because this is what they are doing. This is what they NEED to do, and yet. YET...And then he raises his hand, drawing on a lifelong OBSESSION with Myrrish theatre. Remember. Therapy. "PEOPLE OF ALESSANDRIA! UNDEATH SSTANDS BEFORE USS! Sstand with uss! Lend your cheer, and sstrength that we may triumph! ALESSANDRIA hass never fallen, and that day will NOT. BE. TODAY!" He nods towards Selerik, spotting the bard in the stands as he moves to stand between Durrankar, Sandy, and the golems, with bloody wings outstretched. Therapy. So. Much. Therapy.

Before all else, Sandy's form seems to blur. Behind her appears a glowing, dark skinned being of angelic mien. Sandy growls, her magic suffusing her being. "YOU."

Selerik gives a friendly wave. He has some little puff pastries in a bag that he is eating as he watches. "I can't even follow half of what is going on. I will say those people are why I don't call myself an adventurer."

The golem has no emotions, and has been watching Svarshan the whole time. As its target comes running right up to it, the golem obligious by inching foward and raising both its fists and slamming them directly into the paladin. The force of the impact leaving some cracks in the ground.

Mandy's form blures much like Sandy's did and then stops. A huge demon has appeared thrity feet before her. A prismatic wall surronds her on all sides shifting through the seven colors of the rainbow. The last thing that appears to have happened is that there is a glowing red bead sitting on the ground right next to Durrankar.

Selerik continues jotting notes on the scroll floating in front of him as the fight continues, a smirk upturning the corner of his mouth as he watches. As if there were something funny or amusing about the things he is making note of.

You paged Sandy with 'She is pure spell caster, with metamagic feats, and crafting feats galore. If she had her magical items the wall would of been a joke, but... she gave you all a handicap, and didn't want to lose any of her stuff.' Cesran starts to cast the spell of time stop a fraction of a second after Sandy and Mandy have cast their's. He's the last to go, but he has the most time. He starts by summoning a pair of T-Rexes to attack the golems. He takes a moment to wish he could have summoning more, but he's on to his next action. He transforms himself into a Huge Fire Elemental as he moves easily around. What's better then one huge elemental, multiple ones. He casts Mirror Image on himself and suddenly there are more huge fire elementals that look just like Cesran. He spots Kravar near the Mithral Golem and he glides over to him. Cesran puts a wall of force behind them to block off both the delayed fireball and the Mithral Golem. With the last of the time he has left he summons a third Celestial T-rex to fight the Adamantine Golem before time starts to flow normally. He has his rod of quickening as he grabs Kravar with his firey hand, "Hold on." He says as he dimension doors back behind Svarshan. His T-rex's attack although only one manages to give the Adamantine Golem a powerful bite.

Aya blinks as Mandy seems to instantly conjure a wall of rainbows, demons, and who knows what else. Well, walls work both ways, and she isn't about to let a construct of light deter the shadows. She ceases to exist in her present location to coalesce in a puff of shadow within the wall behind the woman. Clothed or not, she has no issue with using her recorporating pressence and momentum to lower her shoulder and ram Mandy in the back to hurtle her towards, and possibly through, the wall. "The light won't save you from me."

Mandy was not expecting to have somebody appear behind her, and slam her into her own protective wall. She was very much enjoying herself and watching the fight and with a squeel she is in the wall. The red color burns her and singers her hair, but she managers to avoid a good part of that as the wall shifts to orange. The acid melting off the least of her hair and she lets out a pitch scream of pain, "Yeouch!" Then she catches a moment as the wall turns green and she shrugs off the posion, and the petrification of the bleu that comes after. She is already quiet insane so the indigo has no effect and then the violet hit. Her eyes go wide as she looks back to Aya and then winks, "Was fun dear, well played. I like you, we shall play again sometime." with that she poofs out of existance and into anther plane.

The skeleton bone dragon has a few tricks up its sleeve and it shows one now. It opens its mouth and a cloud of black lightning laced energy spills forth over the group. It has a cold chill that creeps to the bones that even death would be a welcome release before the cloud fades. Leaving all caught in it a bit paler.

Durrankar watches as the golem pounds on some unseen force. he takes a breath and....begins to chant....which makes the clouds overhead start to swirl....and thunder......

The summoned angelic being rushes towards Svarshan. Quickly, it sends its Celestial energy into him, closing and sealing his wounds.

Sandy, for her part, suddenly baloons into a scaled, silver form and rushes towards the dragon, long serpentine neck extending to deliver a bone-crunching bite.

Kravar takes a moment to catch his bearings. Things tend to happen so fast, especially with magic-users playing with the laws of time and space. Once he has a reasonable grasp of what's going on, he looks at the Mithral golem battering away at thin air. He looks at Durrankar chanting his spell. Looks back at the golem, trying to guage the strength of whatever is holdeing it at bay. Finally he murmurs to the druid, "Don't worry, I'll be right back." Wings spread, the Aesir streaks into the air. He flies directly over the other golem, a silvery streak that halfway to the skeletal dragon turns into a silvery-golden streak as he draws his sunblade, finally slashing at the monster.

Ga'Elian whistles, duly impressed at everything that is going on. He shoots another arrow and hits the same target as before, then hops aboard the arch-mage's carpet, keeping his bow trained on the enemy.

The draon fires, its breathweapon slicing down. The brightscale reaches out, and a dragon's essence races through the air, capturing the pain in its jaws. It flings the energy towards the brightscale. Bruises, blood blossom over his scales and he snarls, snarls with jaws wide at the draconic monstrosity. But the golem's closer, closer, and he swings around, taking the momentum to draw the axe. His arms lengthen, and the weapon slices, cutting across the adamant machinery.

Cesran raises his firey hands and from thin air on either side of the Adamantine Golem form two Colossal-sized masses of rock, dirt, and stone. He waits as the masses solidify before he brings his hands together with a thunderous clap. The two masses slam together catching the golem between them. He buries the golem under all the debris before he uses his rod of lesser quickening to cast fly on himself. He speaks to the carpet in the spidery language of eldritch and the carpet rises up with Ga'Elian on it. It stops about 45 feet up as Cesran flies off to the side away from Kravar so he isn't going to be caught in another breath attack.

The T-rexes on the golem made of star metal seeing their quarry burried turn to the evil presence before them. Their teeth start to glow with divine energy as they pack attack the skeletal dragon. Two massive bites tear chunks of bone away.

Aya departs the prismatic zone, if still in existence, to appear near the bone dragon opposite the ...angelic dinosaurs. Her target area is limited in comparison, and so she kicks it in the shin bone.

The Bone dragon is built off an ancient red dragon, and clearly has the fightning verocity to match it. It turns on the silver dragon and the intelligence in its eyes shows a deep seated rage against any good kind of dragon. The dragon then proceeds to tear right into the silver dragon from of Sandy each blow landing.

Durrankar lets out a breath and lets the lightning dissipate...for now. the storm continues overhead though.....

A dragon's wings sound in the air, and divine light suffuses the wounded. Svarshan's looking at the golem a while, and then jogs over to the others. "I ssee sshe ran. Sshe owed you a boon," he says to Sandy. He resheathes the axe. "It iss why we did thiss. ...but chaoss." Chaos may go back on its word.

Ga'Elian audibly cheers as "the good guys" win this one. He strikes the mithral golem with plenty of arrows, and offers to buy drinks at von Ironbrew's.

Cesran frowns as the adamantine golem is gone after clearing away the rubble. He keeps his spells going as he sits down and concentrates for 10 minutes. "I know where she is. She is currently on the far nothern planes of Heth. Deep in his territory. I recognize the place called the Path Stone." He looks to the others, "I can teleport us there if you want to end this Sandy." He says leaving it up to her. ROAR.

There is an angry dragon sound comng from Sandy. That'd be because, right now, she is an ANGRY DRAGON. And she bites down on the skeletal one. RIpping and tearing. A blender of teeteh, claws and tail. Eventually, the dragon's magic, those bonds holding its skeletal form together, shatter beneath the physuical assault and leave it ruined.

RUINED.

She roars her victory.

So happy about that.

The rubble did have a sudden dropping of volumn before the golem was dug for. An arcane eye or detect magic would see the trades of powerful conjuration, most likely a gate spell was cast. A scan of the dispering crowd would notice at least one suspecious cloaked figure disappearing down the stairs and is gone. Seems Mandy was ok with having herself killed, but didn't want to lose her precious Adamantium golem, it is after several tons of the precious metal. Durrankar says, "That isss.....strange..."

Durrankar says, "Losing a body was nothing compared to losing a....golem. A ssssservant.""

Selerik gets up from his seat without clapping, crumpling up the bag that held his little puff pastries and tucking it into a pocket as he moves towards the exit.

Svarshan would like to roar. To celebrate. But you know, Cesran said THAT and no one, well, there are certain things that should not exist. "..." he says. Words. "A drink might be good."

Cesran looks over at Durrankar as the huge fire Cesran gets up and stretches out as his staff is made of flames too. "She is a lich. Losing a body is nothing. She did not dare let me have a good look at that golem. I'm pretty sure I can figure out a way to make it mine."
